I LOVE MATH!!!! I hope that you enjoy this page filled with crazy calculations
that will boggle your friend's minds (and maybe even yours!!)
Mind Reading Magic
1. Tell your friend to pick a three-digit number in which the numbers go from largest to smallest, like 987, or 631, or 754.
2. Reverse the three-digit number so that the smallest number is first, and the largest is last.
3. Subtract the smallest number from the largest number.
4. Reverse the answer so that the first number is last and the last number first.
5. Add the numbers from #3 and #4.
6. Ask your friend if the number is 1,089....(guess what, it WILL be!!)
It will always be 1,089 no matter what number he or she chooses!!
How Old Am I?????
1. Tell a friend to use the calculator to multiply his or her age by 7.
2. Multiply the result by 1443.
3. Ask your friend to show you the answer. Your friend's age will be written three times in a row!!!
Happy Birthday (and month)!!!
1. Tell your friend to type in the number of his/her birthday month. (example: May= 5)
2. Multiply it by 100. 3. Add the day of the month he/she was born on.
4. Multiply it by 2. 5. Add 9. 6. Mulitply it by 5. 7. Add 8.
8. Multiply it by 10. 9. Subtract 419. 10. Add your friend's age. 11. Subtract 111
When your friend shows you the calculator, his birthday and age will be written right there for you!!! The first number
is the birth month, the middle number is the birth date, and the last number is the age.
Hold the Phone!!!
1. Using a calculator, type the first three digits of your phone number (do NOT include the area code).
2. Multiply the number by 80.
3. Add 1. 4. Multiply the result by 250.
5. Add the last four digits of your phone number two times.
6. Subtract 250. 7. Divide the result by two.
Ring! Ring! Does the answer look familiar???
I CAN READ YOUR MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Tell a friend to pick any number (it CAN'T be a decimal, fraction, or negative number).
2. Tell him/her to multiply it by two.
3. Add a random number that YOU choose (it MUST be an even number).
4. Tell him/her to divide the result by two.
5. Tell him/her to subtract the number they started with by the number they have now.
6. You can then tell them the result!!!
The trick: YOU divide the number that you chose in step three by two, and that WILL be the result (if they added correctly).
